The story so far: Something strange is going on in Southlands. Rae steals an Excalibur Intelligence Agency briefcase for her Caratopolis employer, only to be sabotaged. She heads back to Caratopolis in disgust. Ruff is after the same briefcase, but gets sidetracked when his ex-girlfriend Penny is held hostage in Cloverville — and now that they are safe, he hopes to reconnect with her. In central Cora Zone, Ace and Vana go to meet Vana’s mysterious contact. Vana becomes overwhelmed at the otherworldly threshold, and she faints into Ace’s arms…
