The story so far: After two of his targets get away from him and steal the briefcase he was carrying, Ace Rocket is desperate to make up for it to his employer, the Excalibur Intelligence Agency, before returning to them. The eccentric Mouse the Joker claims they are meant to put aside their differences as the latest generation of C.A.R.D.S., a small group of heroes with emerging powers. Ace doesn’t believe Mouse, but accepts the latter’s offer to guide him to the EIA’s number one target — the Jack of Hearts, who can also locate the others. Meanwhile, Rae Misere persists in trying to snatch the briefcase from Ruff Shuffle…
