The story so far: Agent Ace Rocket is on a simple mission to take a briefcase from Middleton Port to the EIA headquarters in the capital Excalibur City, only to stumble into a higher priority: Rae Misere the Queen of Diamonds, one of the agency’s three top targets with her illegal wings and unknown agenda. Rae talks Ace into a side trip to Clover Forest Quadrant where she can lead him to a yet higher priority target: the King of Clubs. But first, she has to take a phone call…

sigh No moar box. Missing your boyfriend? Boyfriend? Ick. No. Strictly business. But the guy thinks he can treat me like a gold digger. Well, I only date rich men, but I'm nobody's little plaything.

Then why are you trying to ride this man's coattails at all? Haven't you learned how life works? When you don't have money, people despise you. You should know! You were the one who took a gamble and followed me in hopes that this little adventure will pay off for you. It's not about the pay raise to me, it's about... never mind.

Well, you must be a pretty valuable mercenary if he funded your cybernetic wings. What?! No. He doesn't even know about— I mean, I'm a free agent and my wings are my own. But if you could afford illegal cybernetics you wouldn't need to impress this guy. If this is going to be an interrogation, then why are you the only rookie EIA agent I've seen who has these high-tech wings, hmm? Point taken. We both have our secrets.

It's the right place. Everybody's smoking the cloves. What's a cat like you doing with that square from dullsville?

This is cute. It reminds me a lot of the kind of manga-inspired webcomics that I used to read in spades back in the veritable Stone Age, which seem to be a critically endangered species these days. It's very nostalgic to me. I must ask, though - and I mean this genuinely with no offense, only curiosity - but why does the Queen of Diamonds lapse between speaking normally and talking like an "I Can Haz Cheezburger" meme? Is it purely comedic or is there a reason that will become apparent in the future and I'm just reading too much into a joke?

This is definitely one of the most aesthetically pleasing CGI webcomics I've seen. Most are in a hideous uncanny valley. Yours is cute! Characters are expressive.

It sounds like our regal lady here has a pretty complex story that will unfold gradually over time!
